“The Border Ride is a great event for both riders and charities. Having completed the ride five times, I have seen it grow from humble beginnings to an event with over 200 riders. While the Border Ride is not a race, I like the competitive side of it, the competition against other riders to be first to the border. While everyone sets their own challenges, for everyone it is a challenge just to make it to the NT border and the camaraderie at the finish, and at the Camooweal Hotel watching riders finish the challenge, makes for a great day. The organisers do a great job, the catering is good and the event offers something you would experience on other charity events like this around Australia, at the end of the day, you get to sleep under the stars in a real outback town.”
